Barbara Parker and daughter Shari

Barbara Parker and daughter Shari

Barbara Parker arrived with her family in 1998 and was one of the founding members of the South African Supporters Club. She is shown here in Auckland in 2001. Many members of the club are coloured but all South Africans are welcome. Coloured and black African migrants form a minority of arrivals from South Africa. Coloured people have their own culture with a unique ancestry that includes black African, Dutch, Khoikhoi and Malay forebears.
