Southern royal albatross nests on Campbell Island are scattered across high ground over the whole island. The nests are well spaced, and are often tucked out of sight of each other amongst tussocks. The birds sit quietly on their nests as they incubate their egg, in contrast to the more crowded and noisy mollymawk colonies.
