Ethiopian refugees reunited

Senayint Ayla (facing, far right) embraces Meskerm Solomon. Former neighbours in their native Ethiopia, they were reunited at Wellington airport in 2000. Many Africans arrive under the family reunification scheme in New Zealand’s immigration regulations. This gives priority to reuniting children, parents and siblings.
