Edward Lofley

A well-known Taupō guide from the 1870s, the eccentric Edward Lofley usually wore the informal uniform of the Armed Constabulary – a bush shirt and kilt. This was topped with a 'high broad-brimmed hat with a pheasant's feather sticking out of it'.
