Patisserie chef Guillaume Nicoli, 2015

Guillaume Nicoli moved to New Zealand in 2005 and started the Auckland-based wholesale patisserie business Ma Charie in 2009 with wife Hiroe Nicoli. The couple began with macarons and later branched out into other French pastries. In 2015 they opened a retail store in Ponsonby. In 2011 Guillaume appeared on the television series MasterChef, which considerably boosted sales.
