Career choices for young Koreans

From left, Hee-Chan Choi, a music therapist, Joon Yi, a National Party organiser, and Grace Lee, an interior designer, were among a group of young Korean professionals who spoke to Korean students and their parents about a range of career choices at a meeting at Westlake Boys’ High School in 2008. Organiser Joon Yi said, ‘Korean parents tend not to see beyond becoming a doctor or lawyer as a career path for their children, but this session will be an eye opener for them to see that there are different paths to success in New Zealand.’
