Green seaweeds

Found growing on coastal rocks around Wellington’s harbour, bright green sea lettuce (Ulva lactuca) and the darker rock velvet (Codium convolutum) are common green seaweeds. Growing alongside them is the crust-forming red seaweed known as pink paint.
