American immigrant Tony Kuepfer was a glass-blowing pioneer in New Zealand. He set up a glass-blowing workshop in an old church in Inglewood, Taranaki, in 1974 and worked from there for nearly 15 years. Between 1979 and 1986 he made around 250 long-necked bottles. Stuart Park collected 30 of these and his collection was exhibited at Te Papa, Objectspace and the Dowse between 2004 and 2007.
