An art lover sits back and admires the art exhibition that was part of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition in Dunedin in 1890. The exhibition featured English paintings as well as works by New Zealand artists. The Otago Daily Times advertised that the artworks in the Victorian Gallery were to be auctioned at the end of the exhibition. Artist W. Ayerst Ingram commented, 'I have put my reserves very low indeed, for I do not want any of them returned.'
