Charles Baeyertz (left), critic and editor of the Triadmagazine, Beatrice Worsley and artist Charles Nathaniel Worsley admire one of Worsley's paintings. Baeyertz wrote criticism of literature, art and music. In the April 1908 Triadhe described the critic's role: 'It is not for him to inquire who Mr Noodle's relatives are, or who taught Miss Shrill to make such offensive noises. He is to judge the artist, as a craftsman judges a machine, by comparison with the best of its kind.'
