The Malaghan Institute of Medical Research in Wellington is one of a small number of private research organisations in New Zealand. Here Ashna Khan, a Victoria University PhD student affiliated with the institute, uses a rotary evaporator in her 2010 research into new ways to help the immune system destroy infectious diseases.
