Norm Cumming Trio, New Plymouth, 1970

Norm Cumming Trio, New Plymouth, 1970

In bow ties, dark suits and mustard waistcoats, the Norm Cumming Trio, seen here at New Plymouth's Bali Restaurant in 1970, typify the well-groomed style and intimate, dine-and-dance performance venue required of small jazz bands in this period. Cumming is on piano, with Bill Hartigan on drums and Galvin Edser on double bass.
