Hungarian dance ensemble

Visits to New Zealand by cultural dance groups and instructors have been an important part of keeping dance forms alive. The links to other dance communities, the opportunity to see performances of cultural dance and the chance to attend classes were all valued. The Kengugro Australian–Hungarian Folklore Ensemble visited New Zealand in 1994 to take part in a Hungarian festival in Wellington.
