King Kapisi at New Zealand Fashion Week, 2004

Samoan hip-hop star King Kapisi (Bill Urale) models Overstayer clothing at the Air New Zealand Fashion Week at the Viaduct Basin in Auckland in October 2004. The Overstayer brand of screen-printed urban wear was established by King Kapisi and was shown as part of the Style Pasifika show in Fashion Week. Fashion and Pacific culture were both important elements of Auckland creative life in the 2000s.
