The French Maid Coffee House

The French Maid Coffee House

The interior of the French Maid Coffee House in Lambton Quay, Wellington, in the 1940s shows some of the artworks that were regularly displayed on its walls. The French Maid provided a location for urban intellectuals and European émigrés to meet during those years.
