Brent Parker, senior historical researcher at the Crown Law Office, is pictured working at the Archives New Zealand reading room in Wellington in 2014. Brent's research looks at many aspects of the Crown's activities, especially its role in administration of land. In a long career he has built up specialist knowledge of government archives. As well as identifying relevant information, he assesses it and presents it to various courts and tribunals. He has appeared as an expert witness for the Crown before the Waitangi Tribunal, the Māori Land Court and the High Court.
