The Yandall Sisters – left to right, Pauline, Adele and Mary – are shown here performing at Style Pasifika in 2010. The Samoan siblings grew up in Grey Lynn, Auckland, singing in their church choir. The original group was Caroline, Adele and Mary, later joined by Pauline. They returned to being a trio when Caroline left. Entertainers of the year in 1977, the group recorded four albums, and provided back-up vocals for other singers including John Rowles, Howard Morrison and Prince Tui Teka.
