A group of scientists attaches a monitoring device to Aurora, a New Zealand sea lion (Phocarctos hookeri), on Otago Peninsula in April 2008. They attached a small, lightweight satellite tracking and time-depth recording device to the sea lion. The devices are glued to the animals and are discarded during the annual moult.
