Hall of wheels at Ferrymead Heritage Park

Hall of wheels at Ferrymead Heritage Park

Visitors climb aboard a vintage tramcar in the Hall of Wheels at the Ferrymead Heritage Park in Christchurch. Ferrymead Heritage Park was set up in the 1960s by local history enthusiasts. By the early 21st century it had a replica Edwardian township, and working railways and tramways, along with a wide range of other exhibits. Ferrymead was one of the many museums set up in the period following the Second World War.
