New Zealand cameraman Robert Brown shoots a sea lion in close-up for a Natural History Unit production. Brown was the camera operator for Television New Zealand's Natural History Unit when it was formed in 1977. He later set up his own company, Wildfilm New Zealand, and worked freelance throughout the world, including in the Arctic and Antarctic. In 1997 the Natural History Unit was renamed Natural History New Zealand (NHNZ). In 2013 it had offices in Dunedin, Beijing (China) and Washington DC (US), and majority ownership of production companies in Singapore and South Africa.
