Scientists test milk in the food laboratory of the Dominion Laboratory, Wellington. Much of the scientific work carried out in New Zealand has been applied science, aimed at assisting economic activities such as agriculture or mining. Scientists have often had to be creative to carry out their work with the limited resources available to them.
