Filming Janet Frame's life

Filming Janet Frame's life

In 1990 film-maker Jane Campion directed An angel at my table. This outlined Janet Frame's turbulent early years and emergence as a writer – a story first told in reflective detail by Frame in three volumes of autobiography. Janet Frame (back) is pictured with the three actors who played her at different stages of her life in the film: from left, Karen Fergusson, Alexia Keogh and Kerry Fox.
