Lifebuoy hit parade

Lifebuoy hit parade

In 1946 New Zealand's first hit parade filled the radio airwaves. The Lifebuoy hit parade (from 1955 the Lever hit parade) was broadcast on ZB stations each week. The pop records featured were chosen by the show's producers from US and British music charts and record samples.
