By 2012 the Dunedin Choral Society had changed its name to City Choir Dunedin, and was approaching its 150th anniversary. It is pictured at a 'sing-along' performance of Handel's Messiah at Knox Church, Dunedin, in December 2012, when members of the audience were invited to bring scores and join in the choruses.
