Kōrero: Choral music and choirs

Mandate, the choir of Otago Boys' High School, perform their bracket of songs at the New Zealand Choral Federation festival, The Big Sing, at Dunedin Town Hall in June 2013. School choirs from throughout the Otago and Southland regions took part in the festival, each giving a 10-minute recital of three songs, including at least one New Zealand or Pasifika composition. After the regional competitions, which took place around the country, 18 choirs went forward to the national final in Dunedin in late August.
