Mereana Rademakers of Christchurch competes in the senior international ribbon event, part of the rhythmic gymnastics title at the 2010 GymSports New Zealand championships in Hamilton. She was then the national rhythmic gymnastics all around champion. In this sport competitors perform a routine which usually involves manipulating either one or two pieces of apparatus: the ribbon, clubs, hoop, ball or rope.
