Haurongo: White, William

William White

William White was photographed at Auckland about 1870, near the end of his life. Although he had been dismissed as a Wesleyan minister and missionary in 1838, he returned to New Zealand and continued his association with Maori at Hokianga and Kaipara as a trader.
