Women have not only knitted for their family, but also for other people in need, both in New Zealand and overseas. Maureen Norris (left) and Jean McDonnell show off the impressive collection of teddy bears knitted by North Shore women for sick or hurt children to cuddle during ambulance rides to hospital, and keep for their own.
