Water polo pass, 2010

New Zealand water polo began in 1892. At first it was a men's game but before long, women's teams were formed. Here New Zealander Alexandra Boyd prepares to pass the ball during a match between New Zealand and Australia at the 2010 FINA Women's Water Polo World Cup, contested in Christchurch. Despite their spirited performance the New Zealanders were beaten by reigning champions Australia, 17–4.
