Shot putter Les Mills, early 1960s

Les Mills competed in both shot put and discus. He won one gold, three silver and one bronze at the Commonwealth Games between 1958 and 1970 but was unable to find similar success at the Olympics. Mills went on to found a gym chain and was mayor of Auckland from 1990 to 1998.
