Sunday concert, 1919

The Auckland City Silver Band play a Sunday concert at the band rotunda in Point Erin Park, Herne Bay, Auckland, in 1919. As the influence of sabbatarians declined in the early 20th century, more Sunday entertainments became available. However, even when Sunday concerts and films became the norm, promoters often emphasised their 'family' nature to defuse any opposition.
