Seized cocaine

Seized cocaine

These three sealed cosmetic bottles containing half a kilogram of cocaine were seized by Customs officials at Auckland International Airport in February 2006. Since cocaine is not produced domestically and so has to be brought across borders, efficient work of Customs authorities has largely protected New Zealand from the high use of the drug that has been seen in countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States.
