Grandstand, Sanson

Grandstand, Sanson

This grandstand was built in the early 1920s and, although rugby games are no longer played on the ground, the stand was saved from demolition in 2002. Even in small rural communities such as Sanson in the Manawatū many people used to watch their local rugby team play on wintry Saturday afternoons.
