Dean Bell and the Auckland Warriors

In 1995, when the Auckland Warriors played their first match, captain Dean Bell walked onto the field through the team's logo. Bell's career included captaining the Kiwis, playing for the New Zealand Māori team, and playing for English and Australian clubs. His family is well-known in rugby-league circles, including his father, coach Cameron Bell, his uncle, Ian Bell, and his cousin, Clayton Friend.
