Shown here is a range of shaving and hair-trimming equipment – the oldest piece is the cut-throat razor, bottom left. Also shown are (moving clockwise) a hair trimmer, an electric razor, a manual hair trimmer and a safety razor (named in comparison to the cut-throat razor). Apart from the trimmer, this equipment would be primarily used by a barber rather than a women’s hairdresser.
