Enid Tapsell and her husband Kouma talk to Governor-General Sir Bernard Freyberg (right) in the early 1960s. By this time Enid had written numerous articles and radio scripts on Māori culture, women’s lives and natural history, and she was a driving force behind the establishment of the Rotorua museum.
