Gordon Bridson

Gordon Bridson

As a commander in the Royal New Zealand Navy during the Second World War, Gordon Bridson took a leading part in actions near the Solomon Islands, receiving both New Zealand and American honours as a result. He had previously achieved fame as New Zealand’s first Empire Games swimming medallist.
