When Mr and Mrs Walter Shaw of Pākawau, Golden Bay, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1964, their granddaughter Diane Donnelly was photographed with them, wearing Mrs Shaw's wedding dress from 1914. Some couples go further and model their original wedding outfits on a significant anniversary.
