Para-equestrian rider Jenny Affleck on Boss II

Para-equestrian rider Jenny Affleck on Boss II

Para-equestrian sports for riders with disabilities started in Great Britain and Scandinavia in the 1970s. Riders can compete in either dressage or carriage driving, and dressage has been part of the Paralympics since 1991. The grade people compete at is based on their level of disability. Jenny Affleck from South Otago competes in both para-equestrian and able-bodied events, and won the Prix St George Class at the FEI World Dressage Challenge in 2010. Here she is warming up her gelding Boss II before competing at the Horse of the Year show in 2012.
