Equestrian activities: horse trekking

Riders take part in a commercially organised horse trek on Ben Lomond Station, near Queenstown. Commercial horse-trekking companies are found throughout New Zealand, particularly near tourist spots. Companies will generally offer a range of treks, from short easy rides for inexperienced riders, to full day or overnight treks for the more experienced.
