Onny Parun

Onny Parun was one of New Zealand's best tennis players of the 1970s and early 1980s. He reached at least the singles quarter-finals of all four Grand Slam events (the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open). Parun reached the final of the Australian Open in 1973 and won the French Open doubles in 1974. He won the New Zealand national men's singles title six times and the Benson and Hedges New Zealand Open tournament twice.
