Peter Dunne voting in the 2011 referendum

United Future leader and Ōhariu-Belmont MP Peter Dunne is shown here about to vote in the 2011 consultative referendum. Held at the same time as the general election, this asked voters whether they wished to retain the mixed-member proportional (MMP) system. The orange ballot paper Dunne is placing in the orange box is his vote for an MP and a party in the general election. The purple ballot paper in his other hand is his vote in the referendum, to be placed in the purple box.
