Kōrero: Primary and secondary education

Thirty young men and women received their teaching diplomas at a graduation ceremony in Nelson at the end of 1967, and posed for a photograph along with senior education figures (the men in the front row). Women graduates outnumbered men almost two to one – a trend that became more obvious from the 1960s.
