Single-sex classes

Although Long Bay College in Auckland is a co-educational school catering for both boys and girls, in 2007 it introduced single-sex classes to teach core subjects. This innovation was based on the theory that boys and girls learned in different ways and that it was best to provide for their needs separately. Here boys and girls go off to their own classes.
