The Asia Room at Parliament Buildings in Wellington was dedicated in August 2008, in recognition of the contribution of Asian peoples to New Zealand and to its Parliament. The room, which doubles as a select-committee room, has a changing display of Asian art and crafts. The photos on the wall at right are of Asian New Zealand MPs Pansy Wong, Ashraf Choudhary, Kenneth Wang, Rajen Prasad, Melissa Lee, Raymond Huo, Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi and Jian Yang.
