A team of New Zealand battlefield clearance experts search for unexploded munitions in Lebanon in 2008. A small team of New Zealanders was deployed to Lebanon to take part in a United Nations mission to defuse unexploded ordnance left in the country's south after the 2006 conflict between Israel and Hezbollah (a Muslim political and military organisation in Lebanon). The first New Zealand contingent arrived in Lebanon in February 2007 and the mission ended in February 2008.
