City of Porirua flag

City of Porirua flag

The flag on the right is the flag of the city of Porirua. It was adopted in 1996. The green, white and blue elements reflect the land and the harbour. The flag can be flown with or without the city's coat of arms, which are emblazoned on this particular flag. Here, the Porirua flag is being flown at the ceremony in which the Kapi Mana Air Training Corps was granted the freedom of the city in 2005.
