Sir Douglas Robb's retirement

Sir Douglas Robb, surgeon-in-charge at Green Lane Hospital, recruited Brian Barratt-Boyes to set up open-heart surgery at the hospital in the late 1950s. Barratt-Boyes became surgeon-in-charge on Robb’s retirement in 1964. At the retirement function are (from left) Chisholm McDowell, Douglas Robb, Jim Lowe, David Cole, Brian Barratt-Boyes and John Hinds.
