Caring at home for family members with special needs is an important practice for many families. Lose Tuileila (28), left, has been the full-time caregiver for her aunt, Kolotita Tupeou (right), and her grandmother, Otolose Tupeou, for the last 17 years. Lose's aunt is wheelchair-bound after a childhood accident, and her grandmother has arthritis, a heart condition and poor sight. In Lose's family, caring for other family members at home is a priority. Lose grew up with her aunt and grandmother and when they needed her help, she felt she 'just had to do it'.
