Mates having fun

A group of men, workers from the Prouse and Saunders flax mill, enjoy themselves on their day off at Whanganui Inlet in Golden Bay, about 1900. Even when not working together, New Zealand men have often spent time relaxing, yarning (telling stories) and playing games with their mates.
